Efficient transport management ensures student safety and accurate billing. Smart School provides a Bus Manager to handle your fleet, stops, and student routing in one place.

Accessing the Bus Manager

From the Private School Dashboard, click on the Bus Manager card.


1. Registering a Vehicle

The first step is to add your vehicles (Buses, Vans, or Cabs) to the system.

  1. Click the Add Bus button.
  2. Fill in the vehicle details:
    • Bus Number: Professional identifier (e.g.,1,2,3,...20,21,...).
    • Note: Only write the number not the word (e.g., 1 not Bus No. 1).
    • Registration No: Government plate number.
    • Driver Info: Driver name and contact number for emergencies.
    • Capacity: Total seats available in the vehicle.
  3. Click Save to add the vehicle to your list.

2. Defining Bus Stops & Fees

Each bus can have multiple stops, and each stop can have a unique monthly fee.

  1. On the Bus Manager dashboard, find your vehicle card and click Add Stop.
  2. Stop Name: Enter the location (e.g., Main Market, Green Hill Colony).
  3. Monthly Fee: Enter the fare for that specific location.
  4. Click Save Stop.
Why use separate stops?

By defining stops, the system can automatically calculate exactly how much a student owes based on where they live, eliminating manual billing errors.

3. Assigning Students to Routes

Once your buses and stops are configured, you can link students to them:

  • Go to Assign Routes in the Private School Dashboard.
  • Select a student and choose their Stop from the list.
  • The student's monthly bill will now automatically include their transport fee.

Live Tracking (Pro)

If you want to use GPS Bus Tracking system. Your drivers can log in using the Smart School Driver App.Enter Bus No and School code. Then click on Start Trip button. Parents will then see Live Bus Tracking on their Smart School App on their mobile phones.
