How to Issue Bonafide & Transfer Certificates (TC)

Time: 3 Minutes Difficulty: Beginner

The Challenge: Issuing hand-written certificates is risky and unprofessional. If records don't match the admission register, it can lead to legal issues. Admins need a way to generate verified, professional certificates directly from the student's academic history.

Manual Method vs. Smart School

Task Manual Way (Old) Smart School Way (New)
Verification Manual cross-check with registers Auto-filled from Admission
Copies Hand-written carbon copies Dual Receipt (Office + Student)

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Identify the Student.

Search for the student in Student Management. Ensure their details (DOB, Father's Name, Admission No) are correct before proceeding.

  2. Select Certificate Type.

In the student profile, look for the Actions menu or the Certificates tab. Choose from:

    • Bonafide Certificate: For scholarship or bank proof.
    • Transfer Certificate (TC): When a student leaves the school.
    • Official Application: For formal requests.

  3. Print and Save PDF.

Click . The system generates a dual-copy layout.

Pro Tip: Add ?pdf=true to the URL if you want to trigger a direct PDF download.

Troubleshooting

If you face issues, check these common solutions:

  • Details looking wrong on certificate: Edit the student's profile in Admission Edit first. The certificate is a live reflection of that data.
  • Layout is cutting off: Use A4 size paper and ensure "Background Graphics" is enabled in your browser's print settings.
