In Smart School Management, the class structure works intelligently. Instead of manually creating classes one by one, classes are automatically activated as soon as you add or import students. However, creating Sections (like Section A, Rose, or Green) is a manual process (if not already added via Excel). This gives you granular control over student grouping.
Step 1: Understanding Active Classes
You do not need to "create" a class manually. The system detects which classes have students and activates them on your dashboard.
The Blue vs. White Block Logic
- White Class Block: The class is empty (No students added yet).
- Blue Class Block: The class is Active. Students have been successfully entered or imported.
Tip: You can click on any Blue Class Block to immediately view the list of students in that class.
Step 2: How to Create Sections
If your school divides classes into sections (e.g., Class 10 - Section A or Class 5 - Rose), follow these steps:
- Navigate to the main Dashboard.
- Locate the Violet Color Block labeled Sections and click on it.
- Select Class: Choose the class from the dropdown menu (e.g., Class 10th).
-
Enter Section Name: Type your desired section name.
Examples: "A", "B", "Red", "Green", "Rose", "Diamond" - Click the Save button.
Step 3: View and Edit Sections
Once saved, you can manage these sections at the bottom of the same page.
Class Sections Block
Scroll down to the "Class Sections" table. Here you can:
- View: See all sections assigned to a specific class.
- Edit: Rename a section (e.g., changing "Section A" to "Section Red").
- Delete: Remove a section if it was created by mistake.
Students Not Showing Up?
If your class blocks are still White, it means no students have been added yet.
